The problem with how most collabs are priced
Right now, influencer marketing in India is a bit of a mess. Estimates show it crossed ₹2,200 crore last year, but a huge piece of that budget is just disappearing into bad deals.
The way it usually works is a brand asks for a rate card, sets a budget based on follower count, and signs off. No one checks actual view counts. No one runs the numbers. The deal gets signed, the collab goes live, and that is usually when everyone realizes only a few thousand people saw it despite a massive budget.
For the Brands
A creator with 1M followers might only average 5,000 views per post. If you pay them ₹40,000, you are paying ₹8 per view. That is a terrible rate. Without running a CPV check, you would not even know you are overpaying until it is already too late.
